I was so excited to find Mac & Mia , and online children’s clothing service recently. Similar to Stitch Fix, this service sends you out a box of hand picked clothing items based on your style profile . You have a few days to check out the selections and try them on your kiddo, before you ship back any unwanted items using their pre-paid mailing envelope. Mac and Mia has a styling fee of $20, which can be applied to anything you choose to purchase. And… the box comes with an adorable sticker set to use with the adorable interior of the box, where your little one can dress the paper dolls imprinted on the box! BONUS!!

I tried this service for the first time the other day. I ordered a box on Thursday, and it took a few days for it to be styled and then a few days for it to ship- I received it on Tuesday.

Overall, I was a little disappointed with the selections made in this box, but I think the service has potential to be great- the system is wonderful, it was beautifully packaged, and everything was so easy!

I requested in the notes to the stylist, to receive comfortable clothing. I noted that Calvin loves animals and that I wanted some leggings and trendy comfortable clothing.

I LOVED the blue long sleeve shirt we received with a super dapper circus bear… totally nailed that one.

I was not a fan of the cardigan, wolf shirt, and white hat- these were not really our style and on the impractical side.

The leggings were meh… but far too expensive for simple leggings, so those went back.

The suspender pants were cute, but at the stage Calvin is at I know these will not work with him since comfort is #1 right now.

I’m looking forward to trying Mac & Mia again! They ask you for feedback on each item and save your preferences, so I’m sure within a few tries we’ll have better luck! It’s such a great idea for moms who want an alternative way to shop, be introduced to new and unique brands, or just like getting pretty packages in the mail 🙂
