Mike insisted that Calvin be ‘Calvin and Hobbes’ for Halloween. I insisted that the holiday demanded a more unique costume, since he is Calvin and Hobbes everyday-usually having his stuffed Hobbes toted around with him. This would have basically meant making his hair crazy and throwing in a red shirt. Too boring. With a cruising 10 month old who is not a fan of keeping anything on… I tried to think of something which would entertain him more than annoy him…. his tiny old man walker definitely kept his interest (though it was off balance, and definitely prone to tipping forward.. whooooops…)

I ordered a full size adult walker off Amazon, and Mike sawed the legs off of it- we glued to tennis balls on the legs, threw in a bow tie the mix by using self-adhesive velcro, and stuck a moustache to his pacifier. DONE. easiest and most dapper costume ever. He put up with wearing this getup about 3 or 4 times…. and it was equally awesome each time.

Babies are basically little old men, anyways 🙂
